Chief Executive Officer & Chief Technical Officer
Milton has been a CEO of Medical Device Companies that successfully develop and manufacture electronic and digital medical devices for the past thirty years. The devices combine embedded control systems with electronics and electro-mechanical technologies to provide hospitals and doctors with some of the most sophisticated tools available to evaluate and treat their patients and he holds numerous patents in this field.
In 1979 Milton co-founded the Xylog Corporation, an original equipment manufacturer of electronic equipment; in 1987, Meditron Devices was formed to concentrate efforts in the medical field and to market directly to hospitals and gastroenterologists and was then merged with Xylog. Among other innovations, the company developed the #1-rated laparoscopic insufflator for the emerging laparoscopic surgery market.
In 1992, Xylog was sold to BEI Electronics, a San Francisco-based public company, to serve as the foundation for their entry into the medical device industry. Milt was named Vice President of Research &Development, and in that capacity was responsible for the development of all new products, interfacing with the FDA to receive approval to market products, registration and prosecution of the company’s patents, and the evaluation of new technologies.
Nexcore Technology, Inc. was founded by Milton in 1999 as he returned his focus to manufacturing. Today Nexcore is growing rapidly while serving a number of the Top 100 medical device companies. Milton graduated from The City College of New York and holds both a B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering.
President & Chief Operating Officer
Carlo joined Nexcore Technology in 2015 where he has responsibility for driving company growth and creating business scale.
He has a twenty-five year track record leading, building and generating value in businesses across a variety of industries in the U.S. and International markets where he has lived and worked, including the medical device, drug delivery, specialty chemical, food and nutrition and management consulting industries, where on 4 separate occasions he successfully transformed companies from the inside out…making strategy operational and manageable, accelerating growth and making success tangible, and delivering maximal value to shareholders in each instance.
Carlo has previously served as CEO of Ascendant Growth Partners, Agilex, Inc., Verion, Inc. and Bush Boake Allen, Ltd. In addition, he has also held management roles as Division President at Cultor, Ltd., Vice President & General Manager at Pfizer, Inc. and Vice President, Sales & Marketing at Crompton & Knowles Corporation.
He earned his B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Rhode Island and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program.
Vice President and Director of Program Management and Product Development
Since joining Nexcore Technology in 2004, SheShin has held a variety of roles at the company including Research Engineer, Project Manager and Director of Program Management and Project Development where she has gained deep understanding and experience in covering the entire medical device product lifecycle spectrum from development through manufacturing, after-market services, and sustaining engineering.
Working with projects to carry successful launches, she is also heavily involved in the day-to-day operation of all departments. Though her focus is now on customer support and business management, she continues to ensure the proper execution of all programs and that they are achieved efficiently and deliver superior products.
Earlier experiences included roles at Integrated Solutions, Inc. and BEA Systems, Inc. where she helped develop software for the U.S. Army, among others, and worked on military grant awarded submissions. She also worked for Kodak Polychrome in both the U.S. and in China that gave her a solid background in mechanical, design, and process engineering.
SheShin is a graduate of Rutgers University College of Engineering and holds a B.S. degree in Computer and Electrical Engineering.
James DiVizio, CPA
Vice President, Finance
Jim joined Nexcore Technology in 2015 and has extensive experience and is adept at evolving and driving strategic vision in both private equity and corporate environments. He is a hands-on leader and problem solver with a strong ability to prioritize multiple complex projects in all facets of financial and change management while improving and heightening financial and operating performance.
Previously, he served in various private company CFO roles and was a Partner at Ernst & Young where he worked for twenty years and directed engagements from $20 million to $10 billion, focusing on manufacturing and consumer product businesses. Jim graduated from Montclair State University with a B.S. degree in Accounting, Magna Cum Laude and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Russell Van Zile Jr.
Director of Operations
Russ joined the company in 2002 with more than twenty-five years of manufacturing experience in the medical device, microwave, telecommunications and aerospace industries. He has a diverse background in many disciplines including production, quality assurance, procurement, sales, customer service, product outsourcing, negotiations and operational management.
Russ came to Nexcore Technology from The Ryan Group, a state-of-the-art computer numerical control (CNC) machine shop that focused on the manufacturing and assembly of microwave and telecom components where he held the positions of Operations Manager, Manager, Quality Assurance and Procurement Manager. Major accomplishments were the development of the quality programs, procedures and documentation that laid the groundwork for the company’s ISO certification, supply chain management as well as multi-facility expansion.
He began his career at Smithkline Beckman and later joined EATON Corporation where he led the manufacturing team in the production of aircraft controls and actuator systems for the aerospace industry. Russ graduated from Essex County Technical College and holds certification from the U.S. Government as a Journeyman Machinist Tool & Die Maker.
Director of Quality Assurance
Salvatore is a veteran of the medical device and electronics industries and has served in a number of progressive quality leadership roles during his career.
He comes to Nexcore most recently from Vision Research, a manufacturer of high-speed digital imaging products where he served as Director of Quality for the past 9 years.
Previous roles included five years of service at St. Jude Medical, Inc. a manufacturer of electronic implantable medical devices where he was a Senior Manufacturing Engineer. He also worked for Corning, Inc., a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, and optical hardware and equipment where he was a Senior Applications Engineer. Earlier roles also included tenure with the Nordson Corporation as a Senior Quality Engineer, Quality Engineer, Design Engineer, Engineering Specialist and Electronics Technician.
Salvatore holds an M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Mercer University and a B.S degree in Engineering Science from the City University of New York: The College of Staten Island.
He is IPC-A-600 and IPC-A-610 certified; American Society for Quality Six-Sigma Yellow Belt certified and RBA QSA certified-ISO 13485:2003 Lead Auditor.
Salvatore is also a past Conference Chairman of SMTA’s Medical Electronics Symposium and is a Member of the American Society of Quality and Surface Mount Technology Association.
